First Friday...

...of Fall.

Ugh! Most people are jumping for joy over things like cool weather and pumpkin spice lattes. Everyone seems that they just CAN'T WAIT for Fall. For moi? Au contraire! I dread having to layer up in coats and gloves. I would much prefer a pina colada by the pool, instead of pumpkin spice by the fireplace. But, life goes on!

My one saving grace for the inevitable change of seasons?  A potential new wardrobe!  Polyvore is helping me dream my wildest dream of new cool weather essentials. I put together a few of my dream duds for fall. If I can make any of these lovelies my own....fall here we come!

Furry Friday

Furry friends, that is. 

What a tres horrible week!  This week has been non-stop.  Just when I am praising Vendredi, I have a first-thing-in-the-morning spill and coffee goes everywhere.  Have you ever?!

Sometimes our petits furry friends are the only thing that can make a mis morning better.

Green With Envy....

I've got the green monster on my back.  I am so incredibly envious of this office!  Gorgeous space.  Great color.  Ultra comfy.  It would be hard to get work done when you're so busy patting yourself on the back for having such a fabulous office!

Stacked with beach reads, a place for morning coffee, delicious scented candles, sweet and chic lamps....

Bedside tables and spaces can be the most relaxing!  Looking forward to using mine this weekend to hold touts les books and mags I need to catch up on.  Of course coffe and a fluff of pillows will accompany.

Oh my Shells...

Back from blog-cation. 

I am hopelessly milking the last weeks of summer- beach hopping.  New fall wardrobes beckon, but I am not quite ready to let the warm and beachy days go yet.  Loving all things coastal chic right now.  What better way to keep that summer feel, than to add some shells and beach treasures to your interiors.  Warm them up in winter next to a crackling fire.  You can't go wrong!

Cobbler Cocktail

Let's keep summer going.  As long as there is warm weather, a body of water nearby, and a refreshing summer cocktail in hand, we will have no problem.  I can help you with one of the three.  Garden and Gun inspires again with the most amazing cocktail.  Lowcountry Cobbler is ice cold summer deliciousness.  Citrus, berry, and mint will send you swooning for one more day at the beach!

Enjoy!

Lowcountry Cobbler

Yield: one serving

1 ½ oz. Hendrick’s gin

½ oz. peach brandy

½ oz. simple syrup

½ oz. fresh lemon juice

4 raspberries

Mint, for garnish

Combine all ingredients and shake well. Pour into a rocks glass, julep cup, or small mason jar. Top with crushed ice, and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
