Paris is Always a Good Idea

One of my best ideas if I say so myself! 

I am off to Paris for five days of total immersion.  It's Paris Fashion Week, so I am carefully planning my introductions and casual banter with Grace Coddington, Anna Wintour, and Rachel Zoe.  There will be time for sightseeing, but priorities must prevail.

TGIFashion at the Emmy's

With this weekend came the {dreaded} last goodbye to summer.  Thankfully, I was distracted by the triumphant return of the red carpet.  The Emmy's added a significant amount of excitement to my otherwise slothful Sunday.  I prepared for the actual event with the E! coverage of the red carpet...not to be outdone by the "Countdown to the Red Carpet" an hour before the stars began to arrive.  Just your average 5 hours of awards ceremony coverage.  5 hours was ample time for me to ponder the fashion hits and misses. 

There were plenty of both.

The Kennedy's Meet NYC

I am a day late, but thinking nonetheless of the magnificently chic wedding of JFK and Jackie.  September 12, 1953... the dress, the cake, the black and white gorgeousness. 

We are one year shy of what would have been their 60th anniversary and this New York City wedding has me thinking of that same vintage feel and classic American royalty.  59 years later and nothing can compare to Jackie, but this comes pretty darn close!

Well, it is finally happening.  One month from today, I will embrace my overwhelming francophile-ness in the City of Lights herself!  That's right...I am going "home", to Paris!

Crossover

It has taken awhile, but cross-body bags are starting to grow on me.  Full disclosure - the appeal stems from the easy access and comfort level of having a bag right at your hip; however, I don't discount the trend....especially when it comes to the bright colors that have me swooning.  Nothing makes you feel matronly like shopping for a "comfortable" bag.  Might as well embrace it while it's in style!  Love all of these cheery variations on the trend!

Oh dear readers.  I understand if you throw me to the dogs, but I am making my triumphant return to the blogesphere.  Summer came and has made a mockery of me in the cyber world!  River, beach, Olympics...it's all too much for one girl to handle.  I am pledging my return, if only for my own amusement.
