Poolside Dreaming...

Sigh.  Of course Monday arrives and it is sunny and pleasant and gorgeously un-humid.  The perfect pool day.  The only thing missing is the day off...and a pool.  What I wouldn't give to be cruising around and stopping off at a gorgeous pool hide-away like these. 

I would most definitely finish the day off with a Lemon-Basil Marg.  Just came across this recipe and cannot wait to try it...pool or not!

Lemon Basil Margarita

Ingredients:

» 1 shot of tequila (preferably silver, but gold works as well)

» ½ shot of Amaretto almond liquor

» Fresh basil

» Lemon wedge

» Heavy splash of homemade sweet n’ sour (directions below)

» Small splash of soda

*Muddle basil in glass with chopped lemon wedge (extract oils from the rind). Add ice and the rest of the ingredients and voila!

Homemade Sweet n’ Sour Ingredients:

» Equal parts simple syrup and lemon juice

*Add ingredients together and refrigerate

How could you not wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed in one of these gorgey bedrooms!?  Love all the patterns and color mixture.  Ooh la lovely.  This may call for some bedroom revamping.  Stay tuned...

Gorgeous summer Mondays mean only one thing: being locked inside a drab office with limited views to the outside world!  Blah.  If you aren't in the mood for working today, join me in day dreaming with Fifi Flowers' gorge Parisian musings.  Wish we were there!  Don't forget to stir up an ice cold summer cocktail after work tonight and sit outside!

Let's Give Three Cheers...Summer Is Here!

Hip Hip Hooray!  Summer is here and she came in with a bang.  A long weekend at the beach with plenty of fresh seafood and sun time was the way to kick things off.  The next few months will be dotted with plenty of dining al fresco, fresh summer veggies, and lots of cold wine.  Get your suits out, it's time to dive in.  First stop is Saturday's Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band concert.
